Ongoing Care

Once you are a patient at the Headache Center, we will work in partnership with you and your primary care provider in the ongoing management of your care. Please make sure that we have the most up-to-date contact information for your medical team so that we can include them on any correspondence about your treatment and care.

If you would like to schedule your follow up appointment, please call (415) 353-8393 or send us a secure message via UCSF MyChart.

The nurses at the UCSF Headache Center are generally available to answer questions about your care Monday - Friday 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Please note that complex treatment questions will require more time and interaction than possible via electronic communication. It may take us up to three days to return all calls/messages (and a message sent Friday afternoon may not be answered until Monday). If you ever have a medical question or issue that is more urgent than that, we recommend you contact your primary care provider or seek care in an emergency room.

Disability documentation requests

The UCSF Headache Center can provide documentation of your visits and MIDAS (disability) scores at your request to your disability insurance or your primary care provider, but we do not complete or manage disability paperwork.
